Dudley's Sparkle Eggs Centerpiece

Gather the following supplies:

Optional Directions for Emptying Eggs for a longer lasting centerpiece:
Empty the contents of the raw egg using the end of a large paper clip bent open, to put a small hole in both ends of the egg. The size of the hole at the bottom should about 3/16", the hole at the top can be very small – 1/16". Use an egg blower or ear bulb syringe to remove the contents of the egg, washing it thoroughly with soap and water. To hasten the drying process of eggs after they have been emptied and cleaned, they can be placed in the microwave for about a minute or a regular oven at 200 degrees for about 10 minutes.

Directions for Coloring Eggs using Dudley's Sparkle Egg Decorating Kit:

Step 1 – PREPARATION: Protect the surface of the work area with freezer paper, waxed paper, newspaper or a plastic tablecloth. Set out the contents from the kit onto your work area.

Step 2 – Bend the egg dipper handle to hold the egg.

Step 3 - Knead the Dazzlin' Dye packets thoroughly. Cut off the corner of one of the Dazzlin' Dye packet and carefully pour the contents into one of the bowls. The dye will dissolve, and the oil will float on the water. It is important to be able to swirl the egg through the oil. You will need one bowl for each color.

Step 3 – Place a dry, room temperature egg on the egg dipper. Slowly lower the egg, using a circular motion, through the oil and into the dye until the entire egg is submerged.

Step 4 – Allow the egg to remain submerged for 1 to 2 minutes for pink, purple and blue, and 3 to 4 minutes for green and yellow.

Step 5 – Remove the egg, allow it to dry, and then thoroughly wipe with a paper towel. Repeat the process for a multicolored egg. Start with a light color and proceed to darker colors. For example: yellow to pink, then pink to blue.

Step 6 – Add glitter with artist brush once the dye is dried.
