This decoration can be used on a table, windowsill, or mantle.

Gather the following supplies:

Directions for Emptying Eggs:
Empty the contents of the raw egg by putting hole in the top of the egg using the end of a large paper clip for the initial hole. Open up the size of the hole at the top until it is about the size of a quarter, carefully using the paperclip end and then you can carefully break off pieces with your fingers until it is the desired width. Dump out the contents of the egg, and wash the egg thoroughly with soap and water. To hasten the drying process of eggs after they have been emptied and cleaned, they can be placed in the microwave for about a minute or a regular oven at 200 degrees for about 10 minutes.

Directions for Coloring Eggs using Dudley's Speckled Egg Decorating Kit:

Step 1 – PREPARATION: Protect the surface of the work area with freezer paper, waxed paper, newspaper or a plastic tablecloth. Set out the contents from the kit onto your work area. You will need a pair of scissors. You may also want to have a drying tray and some paper towels handy. NOTE: You can use the back of the box, or a muffin tin or an egg carton, or cooling rack as a drying tray.

Step 2 – Knead the Dazzlin' Color packets thoroughly. Cut off the corner of the Dazzlin' Color packet and carefully pour each color into a separate section of the plastic tray.

Step 3 – Using one sponge for each color, dip the sponge into the color and then blot it on the tray and dab it on the egg.

Step 4 – Allow your egg to dry.

Speckled Easter Egg Vases Assembly Instructions:

Place each egg on a stand

If using fresh flowers: Soak the cotton balls in water and put one or two inside of each egg. Be careful to not get water from the cotton ball on the outside of the egg, it will cause the dye to run. You can also pour a little more water into the egg, once the cotton balls are inside the egg.
Cut the stems of the flowers and leaves and place them inside the egg, nestled in the wet cotton balls.

If using artificial flowers: Fill the bottom of each egg with dry rice or dry beans to help provide weight for the bottom of the egg. It will also help the stems to stay in place.
Cut the stems of the flowers and leaves and place them inside the egg.

Set out on a windowsill or tabletop or mantle and enjoy!
